Newcomers to fx trading are like Jedi apprentices

That’s because they are learning a craft where the biggest reasons for failing are anger,  greed and fear.

Newcomers blame the technique they use. There are good techniques and bad ones. That’s true.

From observation however, most traders who fail are those who do not have the discipline to follow a consistent technique. They are the ones who make up as they go and that means ending up with gut feel.

Anger, greed and fear are emotions that influence us greatly. Because of these strong negative feelings, traders lose their cool. They do not approach the market with a level head that can evaluate risk and reward clearly. The result: entering trades prematurely and overstaying bad ones.
